This is a great team. The role players and such have been incredible. If Kuroda stays this sizzling hot he could force his way into the Cy Young discussion. I doubt it, but he’s been amazing nonetheless.

Half-assed try Josh Beckett. Now your team officially can’t win 100 games this year. Tough luck. Who are we kidding? You and the rest of your band of cry baby brothers SUCK.

Not seeing the Cy for Hiro…but starting to wish the Yankess would go against policy and make him an offer for next year already. Doesn’t seem some those young arms in the minors are coming along as...

Yeah I doubt it too, but if he can keep up what he’s been doing lately he has a shot. Regardless he’s been a beast. I’m not really sure why they have that policy, only ends up hurting them really. I’d...

Still plenty of baseball left to play but Cashman looks a genius with the Kuroda acquisition and Ichiro trade. Damm, Yanks bench is strong too. Beckett looks awful. Is it me or is he mailing it in?

…well not mailing it but I saw a UPS truck idling on River ave. at 161st.

Kiroda backs up his complete game shutout of the Rangers with a one run, 8 inning performance tonight. Yanks take 2 out of 3 from the sox as they bid farewell to Crawford’s 2012 season.

Strange thing about Beckett, I think he gave it his all tonight. I’m thinking this is the best he’s got……..

Jesus Christ….if serving up 2 HRs to Ichiro isn’t enough of a wake up call for Beckshitt, nothing will be.

ummm no thats a guy that clearly can’t handle New York. See also Whitson, Ed and Brown, Kevin.

While I question his work ethic, I don’t think there’s any doubt that his ace days are over.

Well it put him in elite company with 6 other pitchers….so don’t be too hasty now.

Who cares? A first place team beat a 4th place non-contender. Oh wait, Sawks-Yanks. That gets hits. Hits pay the bills.

Haha! So true given ichiros lack of power Beckett may need to do some soul searching lol.

I’m too lazy to look it up myself, but I doubt the other six times he went deep in the same game all came against the starting pitcher. So….Beck’s ‘elite’ company is likely even less than 6 others.

This was a good win, but I was hoping the Yankees would humiliate Beckett, he just looks like who the hell he is. The good thing is his good days are far behind him and the best he’ll be is a no.3 or...

Go get em Ichiro! He deserves a championship, hopefully the Yanks can give him one.

Tanyon Sturtze, Kevin Appier, Jon Lester, CC Sabathia, Javier Vasquez, Gavin Floyd, Josh Beckett. All seven aforementioned pitchers served up both home runs to Ichiro during his multi-HR games.

The headline of this article says it all “Hiroki Kuroda, Ichiro Suzuki lead Yankees past Red Sox”, yes they did.

AJ handled New York just fine in 2009, and Kevin Brown was pretty old by the time the Yankees got him.

The problem with Beckett is that his curveball sucks. He doesn’t throw in the high 90′s anymore but it doesn’t matter how hard you throw: In the major leagues if you can’t throw a breaking ball for...
